On August 29th, 2026, we learned that Strava has required that premium users be shown ‘Athlete Intelligence’, an integrated feature of Claude AI that summarizes the data using the tools of generative AI.

In our continued commitment to not using generative AI in our operations, we will be phasing out our usage of Strava for routing, moving to RideWithGPS.

This may take a couple of weeks to completely reflect on the website and Instagram, and we understand that this may be a disruption for those used to us building routes through Strava. We also believe in human ingenuity, and reflect it in how we route, how we write, how we teach, and how we ride.
